About Me

My photo
I love to read about, collect, and use vintage needlework tools and textiles. Heirloom sewing, embroidery, knitting, quilting, tatting, crochet, and recreating vintage fashions are some of my favorite techniques. When I pick up a needle, the endorphins start to flow!

1912 Challenge Pattern

The logistics of organizing this project to accommodate 450 people (when the original projection was for 25-30 test sewers) has slowed Janyce’s ability to send out group assignments as quickly as intended.  Our group is still waiting for our regular assignment, but while we wait, we have an opportunity to request this challenge pattern for a princess line slip.  I am so excited!  I LOVE this design, and it is something I can actually use for my Old Iron Club costume.

I’ve chosen to get the challenge pattern in .pdf format. It printed out almost perfectly except for the alignment circles.  This doesn’t really matter, because the pages just butt up against each other, making alignment simple.  A little bit of the pattern outlines are missing at the very edges of each page outside of the printing area, but it is easy to draw in the missing bits by extending the lines that are visible.
